| General Overview | Dr. Rush is a man who wants the best for everyone, and he wants to help get you there. He is usually cool headed and calm, one might say he has found inner peace. Raised to be a more pacifistic he has gained a lifestyle of passive assistance instead. deciding there are many opportunities in which doing nothing only creates more opportunities for violence and pain. He believes in doing what is necessary in a situation by situation basis but prefers to avoid conflict when he can. | Ambitions | Dr. Rush's desires are to continue his exploits through the stars and see and experience new things. He also wants to do anything in his power to help any and all patients to help come to terms with their pasts, accept their present, and prepare for their future. | Hobbies & Interests | Rush enjoys sculpting and pottery when it comes to the arts, and when he has the time he listens to various lectures. Some are philosophy, psychology, and some are more technical. He has grown a fondness for the Earth game known as "Darts" though some would question how good a technically blind man could be good at it. |
| Personal History | Rush was born to a mixed family of Aenar and Andorians and everything in between. He is nearly a pure Aenar and so has been gifted with telepathic abilities but without the sense of sight. It was said the day he was born a great icy comet cascaded across the skies of Andoria. That might suggest the wanderlust that Rush has felt for much of his life. He's always had a kindness in him and assisted others in anything he was capable of. To leave Andoria and help those he could never imagined the chance to meet was always something that he wanted. Joining the academy he began to take the route of medicine deciding his abilities would be helpful there figuring his bedside manner would be hard to beat. During his time there there was a need for medical professionals to be able to assist with healing in midst of battle. It was for this reason he was chosen to be a combat medic while working under Starfleet. Those moments in the midst of a stressful situation, of a dangerous situation, cemented in him that a completely pacifistic way of life was not always functional. So far he hasn't had much opportunity to go into the depths of space since his skills have been needed elsewhere but finally he has the chance to jump onto a Starship. |
