General Overview Alan is known for his humor and unorthodox bedside manner. He has a cynical attitude towards the brass in general and is never afraid to speak his mind.
Strengths & Weaknesses Strengths: Cool under pressure, knows his whole staff by name. He has an amazing sense of empathy and respect for life.

Weaknesses: His empathy makes it hard to let go, he takes deaths hard. When dealing with a lot of stress he's bunt, which tends to rub people the wrong way.
Ambitions To be the best Doctor he can be.
Hobbies & Interests Rock climbing, parkour and food. He'll try any cuisine and isn't going to poison a human.

Personal History Alan was born in a small town on earth, his father Benjamin is a doctor at a medical research center and his Mother Margaret is journalist and author. Alan often accompanied his Mother on travels, he inherited his mother's passion travel l and his father love of medicine. So he enrolled in Starfleet Academy Medical School, specializing in surgery he completed his residency on Barnard Medical Station.

Alan’s skills caught the attention of a marine general and he was transferred to a training post for Marine medics, much to his dismay. When the Domain war began he was ordered ship out with the 56th Division. Faced with a choice between obeying orders or resigning he chose to serve with the medics trained. His six month assignment was extended to the duration of the war. To this day Alan can't look at the pictures of the class of Marine medics from 2372, because of how few remain.

In 2376 Alan was able to return to Starfleet, he got a post on the USS Nightingale. A medical vessel tasked with post war relief efforts. He was given a medical discharge in 2378 after being diagnosed with severe PTSD.

Alan had no trouble finding work as a civilian surgeon earth, but after a couple of years the travel bug bit him hard. In 2380 he took up a post the Barnard Medical Station as a noncommissioned officer. In 2382 Alan was persuaded to take the officers exam and and was promoted to Lieutenant.He was frequently assigned to Federation support and rescue teams.

In 2384 Alan he took a post on USS Trial. He makes a point of letting his superiors know he is a doctor first an officer second and a gentleman to anyone who respects that. He is here to keep his crew mates healthy and heal the sick and injured, he has nothing to prove.
